I love that you wrote this! I've had a draft about how much I despise trigger warnings for months. I agree with what you've said. I don't like them. I think in general we're insulating ourselves from that which could challenge our assumptions. To me that's not life. Life is messy and complicated and isn't black and white. While I'm not sure TW are 'bad' for you. I think they are generally unnecessary and lead people to only read and consume material that is 'safe.'

Actually my draft delves into the idea that we're entirely 'too comfortable' in our consumption of reading/viewing material in general. But that's for another comment. Thanks for writing this.
